Why Was This Law Firm Created?

Nelson Mandela stated, “When you encounter a situation in life, know that you either win or learn, and you never lose.”  Yet, anyone who has ever encountered a legal dispute knows Nelson Mandela’s quote of not losing something is certainly not a feeling that most litigants experience. 

I created this law firm after working in the field of education for over twenty years.  Like many of you, I found myself needing a lawyer, and like most people, finding the cost to retain a lawyer to be extremely high, which I could not immediately afford.  Thus, I filed my complaint, ensured proper service of process, and engaged in discovery without the assistance of an attorney.  It was a very difficult process, and on several occasions, I feared my case would be dismissed. 

Fortunately, I finally found an attorney to help me in my case.  Yet, that attorney was not diligent in communicating or handling my case.  That attorney not only poorly handled my case, but he poorly represented other clients, as he was disbarred from several State bars during my case.  Thus, again, I had to search for another attorney.  The attorney I found to represent me was an expert in his field, but our attorney-client relationship lacked something, and that something was a belief in my case in the shambled conditions my previous attorney left my case.  I ultimately settled my case, and I did not feel I received justice.

Dr. Harris Law & Educational Consulting, PLLC was created because I know the importance of having an affordable attorney from the onset of a case.  I know the significance of having great advocacy in helping to resolve your legal dispute.  I know clients need attorneys who create and maintain great communication and work diligently to resolve your matter.  Sadly, I too know the disastrous conditions having no lawyer or a bad lawyer can have on a lawsuit.  This law firm was created because I want to ensure no one experiences the issues I did in my litigating my legal dispute.   

Since I believe all things work for our good, I look back on my legal issue with an understanding that it had to happen just as it did.  Without the issues I faced in litigating my dispute, I would not have gone to law school, and I would not be able to prevent this from happening to you.  Allow me to help you resolve your dispute, protect your rights, and safeguard your interests.  Yet, if you happen to select another attorney or represent yourself, please know I wish you the best in having your legal matter resolved in your favor.
